And thanks to a tipster for sending word about a Streets Market and Cafe coming to Noma too. Streets confirms to me they’ll be coming to 51 M Street, NE in the ground floor of the new AVA NoMa apartment building. Updates as they get closer to opening.

Ed. Note: Streets Market opened their first DC location at 14th and Belmont Street, NW back in 2014 and the second at 1221 Massachusetts Avenue, NW back in July. They’ll be opening their 3rd location in the Brookville Supermarket in Cleveland Park.

Thanks to Will for sending. Aloha’s website says:

“Aloha Poke Co is Chicago’s poke pioneer. Our first location was a tiny food stall in a train station and now we are the classic story that ‘BIG things come in little packages’.

The intention is simple: pack fresh, fast and tasty bowls of quality raw ingredients. We have a mission to rethink fast food and we are here to provide a healthy meal that fuels the day.

Born & raised in Chicago, we are spreading our wings from coasts to capitol!”

Check out their menu here.

“Dear PoPville,

Walking to work on 2nd Street NE between K and L around 9:30am, a man with a black mask, black jacket and black pants was walking down the street exposing himself. When I noticed I quickly walked by. When I got a safe distance away I turned around and he kept looking back, then zipped up and ran off toward 3rd street. I called the police but wanted to give everyone else a heads up. Right when this happened, I remembered reports of a flasher in NoMa. I wonder if this is the same guy.”
