From a previous margarita tasting at Good Libations.

From an email:

2009 CONO SUR CHARDONNAY
This Chardonnay has a beautiful, young yellow color with golden hints. Exuberant and complex, this wine conveys refreshing citrus aromas, fruity notes of white peaches, along with mineral hints. In the mouth, complex fruity flavors mingle in with lovely mineral notes.

2010 CONO SUR SAUVIGNON BLANC
Straightforward punchbowl aromas greet you, and beyond that there’s melon to the nose while the flavors run toward familiar lemon and green apple.

2009 Quattro Mani Montelpulciano D’Abruzzo
Ruby red with purple hues. On the nose, it is fresh, with aromas of currant, strawberry and raspberry. On the palate the wine is fresh and fruity, well balanced and smooth.

2009 La Cartuja Priorat
A blend of Grenache and Mazuelo with a little Cabernet and Syrah from an organically farmed estate, a plush, concentrated wine with bright berry flavors

Good Libations is located at 1201 5th St NW.

From Seasonal Pantry’s Web site:

Seasonal Pantry’s product line is a tribute to roadside farm stands and old-fashioned markets. It’s a neighborhood store offering all sorts of house-made small-batch products, specialty foods, and local and imported goods. Think of us as a cross between an old-world butcher, an Italian pasta shop, and a family grocery.

I stopped in last weekend and they are off to great start. They’ll be getting lots more options soon. I’m also eager to check out their sister sandwich shop, SUNdeVICH, when it opens in a few weeks as well.

More photos after the jump. (more…)

Might be a bit too early for a proper judging but I thought I’d check to see what you guys think so far? This is right near the Mt. Vernon Sq. metro station. At this point – thumbs up, down, neutral or too early to tell?
