(1350 Okie St NE) is thrilled to announce a surprise late show following the DC Jazz Festival® (DC JazzFest) Opening Ceremony today, Thursday, June 7, featuring a very special appearance by legendary comedian, writer, actor & producer Dave Chappelle, who is about to embark on a seven show, three city tour with Jon Stewart. Chappelle will join longtime friend and musician Frederic Yonnet beginning at 11:00pm. Hot off the heels of two Netflix specials and a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album, Chappelle brings his unparalleled talents back to his hometown, Washington DC, for this special night. Chappelle’s appearance in City Winery’s intimate venue is a part of the special programming bringing excitement and energy to Washington’s Ivy City neighborhood this year.

Projected to open in Spring 2019 and Fall 2020, respectively, these two locations will be Target’s sixth and seventh small-format stores in the D.C. metro area, joining existing locations in College Park (July 2015), Rosslyn (October 2015) and Bethesda (April 2016) as well as future stores at Falls Church Tinner Hill (March 2018) and Ballston, Va. “Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District have announced an arrest has been made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred in the 1000 block of Mount Olivet Road, Northeast, on Tuesday, October 24, 2017.

At approximately 12:57 am, the victim was walking at the listed location. The suspect approached the victim and fired a gun at him. The suspect fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

On Tuesday, October 24, 2017, 21-year-old Demondre Greene, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).”
