“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with Intent to Rob while Armed (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, December 2, 2018, in the 600 block of H Street, Northeast.

At approximately 10:50 am, the suspect entered an establishment at the listed location. Once inside of the establishment, the suspect approached a cashier and demanded US currency. The suspect then brandished a handgun and a struggle ensured. During the struggle, the suspect discharged the weapon striking the victim. (more…)

“At approximately 0022 hours members of the First District responded to the 1200 Block of I St NE for a shooting. They discovered an adult male with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the lower extremity. The subject was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No detailed lookout for any suspects at this time. Investigation is ongoing.
