Film by Casey Kaufman and Toki Underground.
“After several months of working on this short film we’re delighted to be able to share it with you. The idea behind this film is to show the story behind our broth, from bone to mouth, and the hands that make it. We hope you enjoy it, that it stirs up your appetite and that you come in and taste it for yourself.

“Dear PoPville,
I am writing to you about the trash situation in the rear of 1118 H St NE (H&Pizza). It has gotten out of control recently with their dumpsters that are located in public space in violation of DCMR Title 24, Chapter 13 of the DC Municipal Regulations, in Section 1380. Being in the nation’s capital, we can’t help but nerd out over politics, the sciences, and cultural phenomena. Book-ish is our series of fusion seminar/wine tasting classes that are centered around a niche subject and how it relates to the wine in your glass. Trust us – you’ve never been to a wine class like this before. Taste wine, enjoy nibbles, and target=”_blank”>learn something new!”

From Starbucks:
“The new Starbucks Signing Store in Washington, D.C., is led by a diverse team of employees who are all fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
The store, the first of its kind in the United States, is down the street from Gallaudet University, a bilingual (English and ASL) institution for Deaf and hard of hearing students. It was inspired by a similar store in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, that opened in 2016 with nine Deaf partners.
The infrastructure and experiences in the new Washington, D.C., Signing Store were designed to create a melding of worlds and the best possible experience for partners and customers alike, whether they are Deaf, hard of hearing or hearing.” (more…)
