Scuttlebutt: Shake Shack Coming to H Street, NE?

Thanks to a reader for sending this rendering they found for 700 H Street, NE. First I’m hearing of this so not sure if this is still planned. The lettering is kind of small – does it look like it says delivering in 2017? Of course those dates often change but there is also a Shake Shack not too far away in Union Station. I’ll be sure to update if we learn more, STAY TUNED.

“Fifth District Detectives are seeking information regarding a shooting that occurred this evening in the rear alley of the 600 block of K Street, NE. At approximately 7:00 pm, Fifth District officers were dispatched to a possible shooting in the 900 block of 6th Street, NE. Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile male suffering from a gunshot wound at the intersection of 6th Street, NE and K Street, NE. (more…)
