We live in NE (Ft.Totten/Lamond Riggs area) and when my husband was taking our dog out he found these empty 9mm shell casings in our backyard. We are not gun owners and we have no idea where they came from. That said, we were wondering if there was anything we should do with these other than just dispose of them, like notify law enforcement or some other entity? I’m sure this sort of thing happens a lot all over DC and we figured we’d see if anyone else has any thoughts on this.”

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Friday, September 10, 2021, in the 100 block of Kennedy Street, Northwest.
