We have brought together over 15 local DC makers in a 4 course fixed pairing menu. Local purveyors include Atlas Brew Works, Baku Beverage, Capital Kombucha, Compass Coffee, Dangerously Delicious Pies, DC Brau, Element Shrub, Gordy’s Pickle Jar, Harper Macaw, Leonora Bakery (Northside Social), On Rye, Pie Sisters, True Tonics, Red Apron, Sona Creamery, and wines provided by Schneider’s of Capitol Hill. Decorations will be idealized by Capitol Romance.
We created this event with the intention of doing something outside the box from the traditional Valentines event. Not only will it be something innovative and creative for couples, but it is an event that friends and singles will enjoy just as much.
We will hold the event at 3 different times. Tickets are $100, but for the first 20 of each slot we reserved an Early Bird special of $85.

“Trammell Crow Company (TCC), Fort Lincoln New Town Corporation and CSG Urban Partners announced that three additional national retailers have joined the tenant roster at Shops at Dakota Crossing, a 430,000-square-foot, Class A retail center currently anchored by Costco and Lowe’s. DICK’s Sporting Goods (NYSE: DKS), PetSmart, Inc. and a third national retailer signed long-term leases to occupy a combined square footage of 85,500.

In a continuing trend started by Costco and Lowe’s, the new DICK’s Sporting Goods will be the retailer’s first store in the District of Columbia. “MPD Investigating Police Involved Shooting: 31st Street and South Dakota Avenue, NE
Although it is very early in the investigation, preliminary information indicates that on today’s date [Wed.] at 5:34 pm officers from the 5th district were attempting to affect an arrest of a male suspect in a motor vehicle, when the suspect placed the vehicle in reverse and struck the officer. The officer subsequently fired one round at the suspect. The suspect fled the scene and was apprehended a short distance away. Both the officer and the suspect have non-life threatening injuries. The investigation continues.

“It looks like they are breaking ground for the Lowe’s at The Shops at Dakota Crossing. They’ve actually made quite a bit of headway, as the ground has been completely leveled, and it was a bit bumpy and bushy a month ago. You can see the Costco in the background. There were lots of trucks and large crane type machines around, as well as about 20 hardhats on a lunch break. This will be the first Lowe’s in DC and the second big box home improvements store.”

Multiple sources familiar with the deal say Charlotte, N.C.-based Lowe’s Cos. Inc. (NYSE: LOW) will occupy a 130,000-square-foot building at 33rd Street and South Dakota Avenue NE. Target was, until late 2011, slated to occupy 136,000 square feet on the same parcel. But Target backed out, and it has taken some time to find a replacement anchor.
