“Dear PoPville,
I wanted to share a cautionary story about an incident that happened in Dupont Friday afternoon. I was walking my dog on S street between 18th and New Hampshire when I saw two guys attack and assault another guy halfway down the block. They pushed him down on the ground and were punching him in the face over and over again. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
Anyone else in the area have an issue with water pressure around 14th/R and 15th/R? After a bunch of work was done laying pipes on R street (don’t know if it’s actually related), my water pressure went down. I guess the work on R street has been going on from March to August/September. And during that time up until now, the pressure has changed. If you have a similar issue in the area, what have you done to fix the problem?”

Ed. Note: You can learn more about Valley Brook Tea (and support them) here and at their shop in Dupont pictured above.
Thanks to all who passed on the incredibly disturbing report from Valley Brook Tea:
“I don’t know what to say anymore. This type of hate crime happened to us again. This morning(9:42), this person charged into our store shouting “Chinese” and “Covid-19”, then attacked me with pepper spray. If you recognize him, please contact us or call 911.

I got sprayed on my face, arm, cloth. Some got into my mouth. I was choking badly when I called 911. I’m not injured. However the burning has not stopped after hours.
It seems we’re the only business that keeps getting harassed and attacked in this neiborghood. We cannot stay in business if this happens on a weekly/monthly basis. Please help us identify this individual. Thank you.”
