Thanks to Matt, B. and all who wrote in about the &pizza K Street closure: “Closed sign in front door all week. Staff confirmed that they are permanently closed.”

Thanks to Elle (I took a photo too) for sending: “Spotted at 12th/E St NW… becoming a Vietnamese spot! Not sure about the sushi part but I’ll take it! Maybe I’ll be tempted to go to the office more…”

54 Restaurant is coming to the former Cafe Philips space, which closed back in 2015. Updates when we get an opening date – we’ve been monitoring since November 2020 but the new awning is promising!!

Hill Country Adding a Streatery Thanks to Downtown BID Grant

“The DowntownDC Business Improvement District (BID) announced the five recipients of its inaugural Streatery Assistance Grant Program. Launched on April 20, 2022, the program was developed by the BID to provide restaurants within its boundary with funds to assist in the creation of a new curbside dining space, or to help pay for improvements to an existing streatery or parklet. Cosi’s website says this location is “CLOSED, Please visit us at our 910 17th Street NW, location”

Holy cow is the 17th Street location the last Cosi left in DC?!? There was a time…
