Thanks to @Mr_Darling for finding out:

“Just got got confirmation [fountains at Meridian Hill Park to be turned off for the season] it’s the week of September 16th.”

This year the fountains got filled slightly later than in previous years due to budget constraints. And in previous years the fountains have remained filled until November. So unfortunately this is the last weekend to enjoy the great view until next year!

Laughing Hyena Tattoos is located at 1454 Park Rd, NW:

“Laughing Hyena Tattoos is a full-service tattoo shop dedicated to consistently providing high customer satisfaction by rendering excellent service, quality products, and furnishing an enjoyable atmosphere at an acceptable price. We maintain a friendly, fair, and creative work environment, which respects diversity, ideas, and hard work. We provide quality tattoo’s in a healthy, clean environment.”

On Friday WAMU reported

“A set of regulations for tattoo artists and body piercers unveiled today would mandate a 24-hour wait between when a customer requests a tattoo or piercing and when they can actually get it.”

Think a 24-hour wait period before getting a tattoo or piercing is a good idea or a ridiculous one?

Back in August of last year a reader noted that the former Senor Chicken space was for lease in DC USA. Well they finally got a new tenant – I spoke with the owners who told me it will be a “sushi and banh mi” restaurant. Could be awesome – I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the food is solid. Updates as they get closer to opening.

Senor Chicken originally opened back in November 2009.
