5D Robbery Snatch of a 9 year old

On October 30, 2019 at approximately 3:30 PM a 9 year old girl and a 10 year old girl were walking home from school in the area of the 900 block of 22nd Street NE. The 9 year old borrowed the 10 year old’s cell phone to call her mother as they were walking. As they were walking they encountered a group of juvenile males, one of which grabbed the phone from the 9 year old. The group fled on foot towards the 1900 block of I Street NE. Neither of the girls were injured.

This case is being investigated by members of the Fifth District Detectives Office. Anyone with information is asked to call (202)727-9099.”

“On 8/13/2019, at approximately 8:57 PM, Fifth District units responded to the 1500 block of Benning Road, NE, for the report of the sound of gunshots in the area. Officers began a canvass of the area and were able to locate an adult male and female victim. The complainant’s reported that they were walking at the location when they were approached by 3-4 suspects. The suspects then struck the male victim in the face, and shot the female victim in the lower leg. Read More

“On 3/15/2019, at approximately 10:00 PM, an adult female reported that she had just been carjacked by two (2) suspects, in the 1000 block of Mt. Olivet Road, NE. The complainant reported that one of the suspects produced a handgun, and ordered her out of her vehicle. The suspects then fled the scene in the complainant’s vehicle.

A short time later, at approximately 10:30 PM, members of the 5D Crime Suppression Team located the vehicle in the parking lot of the Circle 7, at 1211 Mt. Olivet Road, NE. The officers approached the vehicle, at which time the suspects fled in the vehicle, striking an officer who was out on foot. Read More

“On 3/14/2019, at approximately 11:40 PM, officers patrolling in PSA 507 reported hearing the sound of gunshots in the area of 19th and H Street, NE. The officers began an immediate canvass of the area, and located two (2) adult victims with gunshot wounds in the 1700 block of H Street, NE. An adult male suffered a graze wound to the lower back, and was transported to a hospital with non life threatening injuries. An adult female victim suffered a gun shot wound to the right foot, and was transported to a hospital with non life threatening injuries. There is no usable look-out at this time. This case is under investigation by the Fifth District Detective’s Office.

“So as I understand it, an inspector went to the site and believes that the leak is coming from the building, so he could not access it. He thinks the building may not be occupied. Does that sound right?”

OP shares developer address/info and:

“See attached video there is more water leaking today. This is terrible – how can we address ASAP? I can’t believe this has continued to happen over a month. The water is flowing into Blandesburg road and has flooded the empty lot.”

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Homicide Branch are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 1700 block of Benning Road, NE at approximately 2:00 pm this afternoon. Three individuals sustained multiple gunshot wounds during the incident, and were transported from the scene to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Unfortunately, one of the individuals later expired at the hospital. Anyone with information related to this case is encouraged to call MPD at 202-727-9099, or text the information to 5-0-4-1-1.”
