“Members of the Fifth District are currently investigating a shooting that took place in the 1200 block of Franklin Street, NE during the early morning hours of May 24th. Officers were summoned to the area for the sound of gunshots and, upon arrival, located an individual suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Anyone with information regarding this crime is encouraged to contact MPD at 202-727-9099 or text information to 50411.”

Including this transaction, there have been a total of eight properties sold over $1M in Brookland. One even exceeded the $1.4M price point (Listing agents for that 2016 sale were Shemaya Klar and Jake Abbott with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty, and Robert Sanders with TTR Sotheby’s International Realty brought the buyer).
