“On September 13, 2019, at approximately 2025 hours, members of the Metropolitan Police Department were called to the intersections of Georgia Avenue and Arkansas Avenue, Northwest, for the sounds of gunshots. Once at the location, members of the department discovered an adult male lying on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds. The adult male was treated and transported by the District of Columbia’s Fire and Emergency Medical Services to a local area hospital, where the adult male succumbed to his injuries.

These criminal investigations are in addition to the investigations already underway by the District’s Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA), the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), and the Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department (FEMS), along with the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. “MPD responded to the area of 9th Street and Quincy St, NW, for reported gunshots at approximately 7:40 PM this evening. [Tuesday]

There were no injuries reported. There was damage to a vehicle discovered in the 3700 block of 9th Street, NW.
