“5D is currently investigating the following shootings that took place on Sunday, June 3, 2018:

1. 3500 block of 10th St., NE at 12:33 a.m. The victim was approached by two suspects who demanded the victim’s property at gunpoint. After obtaining the victim’s property, one of the suspects shot the victim in the leg and arm. The victim transported themselves to an area hospital for treatment.

2. 1400 block of W St., NE at 1:44 a.m. The victim was approached by the suspect who demanded the victim’s property at gunpoint. When the victim ran, the suspect shot the victim in the lower extremities. The victim transported themselves to an area hospital for treatment.

3. Unit block of Q St., NW at 2:44 a.m. The victim was walking in the block when he was approached by two suspects. The suspects began to shoot at the victim, striking the victim in the leg. The victim transported themselves to an area hospital for treatment.

“Members of the 5th District responded to the 425 Rhode Island Avenue NE for reported sounds of gun shots. Upon arrival Officer contacted 6 victims who advised officers that a man displayed  a weapon at them and shot several rounds towards their location.  The victims further reported that the suspect approached them again and apologized for shooting at the victims over mistaken identity. “The Third District is currently investigating a shooting in the 1300 block of U Street NW. Three (3) adults are currently being treated at area hospitals for non life-threatening injuries. .

Motorists and pedestrians can expect road closures in the area as we investigate.

“The Fifth District is working a shooting in the 2500 block 14th Street NE. After MPD officers heard several shots being fired they immediately responded to the location where they located a victim with an injury to her ear. Unknown if she was struck by an bullet fragment or injured it when she was dove on the ground. Witnesses said a vehicle came by at a high rate of speed while firing rounds out at people on the sidewalk. Look out for a dark gray vehicle with tinted windows. “The 5th District is working a Confirmed Shooting and stabbing at 13th Street NE & Downing Street, NE Victim (1) Male suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. Victim (2) Male suffering from a stab wound to his stomach. No Lookout at this time. Any information please contact 2027279099.”

Update from MPD:

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred in the 2200 block of 13th Street, Northeast, on Wednesday, September 20, 2017.

At approximately 8:40 pm, members of the Fifth District were dispatched to the listed location for the report of a man with a gun. Upon arrival, officers observed a juvenile male who sustained a gunshot wound. While canvassing the scene, an adult male was found, a short distance away, suffering from multiple stab wounds. DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene and transported both individuals to an area hospital. All life-saving efforts failed and both individuals were pronounced dead.

The first decedent has been identified as 16-year-old Zaire Kelly, of Northeast, DC.

The second decedent has been identified as 19-year-old Sequan Gillis of Northeast, DC.

“Good morning, last night at approximately 10:50 a black sedan driving westbound in the 1200 block of Rhode Island Ave, NE fire multiple rounds out of the driver’s side window striking an adult victim in the leg. The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
