“Working Fire 7th &D Sts SW. fire on the roof of a hi-rise building under construction.”

Update from DCFD: “Now a 2 Alarm fire 7th & D Sts SW. #DCsBravest have hose lines operating on the roof and have knocked the large volume of fire down. Checking to see if any extension to floor below. 20 units & 100 personnel enroute or responding. No injuries reported.”

From Alert DC: “DC FEMS reports the following road closures due to fire activity in the 300 block of 7th Street SW:

*300 block of 7th Street SW
*600-700 Blocks of D Street SW
*600 Block Virginia Avenue SW”
