“Dear PoPville,
I just noticed that Booeymongers in Friendship Heights is boarded up where the gelato store is. I feared that it was part of the mass exodus of business there, but the sign on the door says “closed due to fire.”
I didn’t see any alerts / notifications about it and cannot find a news report. Does anyone know what happened and if they will in fact reopen? My mouth is watering for a Tuna Turner.”
On Sunday DC Fire and EMS reported: “Update Box Alarm 5200 block Wisconsin Ave NW. #DCsBravest confined fire to front area of restaurant and placed the incident under control. No injuries reported.”
Updates when we learn of a reopening date.
