Update on the D Light Cafe fire from DC Fire and EMS:

“#DCsBravest Fire investigation Unit has made an arrest related to an incendiary fire Jan. 27 at 1875 18th St. NW, a commercial establishment. A joint investigation with @DCPoliceDept led to the identification of the subject, who is charged with arson.

#DCsBravest thank the community for assistance with information that led to the identification of this individual. Arson is a dangerous crime that can cause serious injuries and death, as well as major property damage.”

DC Fire and EMS reported around 5:30am: “Update Box Alarm 2400 block 18th St NW. Corrected size up is 3 story mixed occupancy structure. #DCsBravest confined and extinguished fire on the exterior. No injuries. Investigators requested.” (more…)
