DC Fire and EMS reports: “DC Fire and EMS has responded to a report of a smoke condition in the area of the Lincoln Memorial. We are currently searching the area but have found no evidence of fire.”

“Update on Lincoln Memorial smoke investigation. Fireboat 2 reports the apparent source was a vehicle fire on the GW Parkway in Va. that has been extinguished.”

Thanks to ADE for sending: “Car on fire right at the entrance of the parking garage located at 77H. Unsure of what started the fire and it doesn’t appear that the owner or driver of the vehicle is anywhere to be found. DC Fire and EMS arrived on site and was able to quickly extinguish the fire.

DC Fire and EMS reported: “Update Working Fire 1600 block Columbia Rd NW. Fire confined to 1 room in 4th floor apartment and under control. Still in process of smoke removal. No reported injuries. Fire investigators on scene.”
