I fell on my front steps tonight and was yelling and in a lot of pain. A very nice doctor (I think from Howard) stopped and talked me through it and was very kind. I wanted to thank him again – his name was Nas (I think? I was a little distracted).”

In August, my friends and I came back to our car (we share it between the 3 of us) in Lanier Heights at the cross streets of Ontario Road and Ontario Place to find that it had been hit. A very kind stranger left a note explaining that a FedEx truck had hit the car and gave us the license plate information. (more…)

I had a weird ICE encounter yesterday. Boarding for my flight out of BWI was delayed, the gate agent mentioned in passing that it was bc of immigration. When we finally start boarding, after agent checks ticket / passport, there were like 6-7 ICE agents on the tunnel. They checked every single person and their passport, they asked me why (more…)

Someone was kidnapped by ICE on my street last night – wasn’t entirely sure what to do other than to film and yell to ask them for their name / a family member’s phone number. Can do a post to inform on what we should be doing in situations like this?”

I’m wondering if anyone else in DC has experienced this — our legitimate DMV plates appear to have been duplicated and used on another vehicle.
Over the past few years, my wife and I have received multiple citations for a Honda minivan we don’t own, even though our plates have always been on our Jeep Grand Cherokee. DMV investigators told us this could be part of a larger fraud issue involving counterfeit metal plates being produced and sold — possibly using real DMV plate data.
