Have you heard of this? I found this “ticket” on my car parked on 15th St on the residential side along Meridian Hill. It initially made me question it because the material is much more thick/construction papery than a typical parking ticket. I was parked in my proper zone with a permit.
The ticket said I was parked without permit. I went to check if it was real/pay it, and of course no ticket comes up for my plate. I’m super confused why someone would put a fake parking ticket on my car and then put the actual DC DMV website to pay it on the fake ticket. So, it wasn’t a fraudulent money making scheme. The only thing I can think of is that a person who lives near here is putting fake tickets on cars to scare people from parking here.
Maybe the ticket hasn’t shown up in the system yet. But it’s been a week…
I just called 311 and they don’t have it in the system but also he said they technically have 20 days to put it in there.”
