“Dear PoPville,
I miss the Santa and Santa picture set up they used to have at Mazza Gallerie. The set ups at the other malls (at least Montgomery and Tysons) don’t even come close. Does anyone know if the old Mazza Gallerie set up moved somewhere else? Or, if not, if there is something more like it around town?
Thank you!!”

“Dear PoPville,
A few years ago a developer bought the row home behind us and used it as their office (despite it being zoned residential). Over those years they never took out their garbage and often let it pile 3 or 4 trash bags high. The rats had a field days and there was constantly trash everywhere. We tried talking to them and filed complaints with the city when that did not work but the issue continued until the day they received their demo permits for a condo conversion. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
During my Free2Move trip one of the tires had only 14 PSI. That’s almost flat, 35 is normal. I stopped at a gas station, had to ask for $2 in quarters for the air machine, and re-taught myself how to inflate a tire (I knew in high school, but haven’t owned a car in almost 20 years). The whole hassle took only 15 minutes, but I was paying for it. Free2Move refused ANY credit for this.
Moral of the story? Never do anything for a Free2Move car! Don’t gas them up (they’ll only pay for the first $25 anyway, and they’ll lecture you that you shouldn’t have tried if you waste time trying to find a late-night gas station and can’t), don’t put air in the tires, don’t pick up trash, nothing. “Dear PoPville,
Do your readers have any recommendations for “other” Christmas and holiday displays, besides the White House or Capitol? I want to travel around the District and find some new displays, like the one at City Center.”

Allie asks: “Are there any dc bars/clubs that have reliably good vibes and music for dancing? By good music I mean current/throwback and not weird remixes that are impossible to dance to and songs no one knows the words to. pls help”

“Dear PoPville,
I’m an independent consultant with an LLC in DC. Does anyone have recommendations for tax advisors and/or accountants who specialize in this area? Bonus points if they also have experience with rental property income.”
