“Dear PoPville,

Was wondering if anyone has seen the presumably unhoused guy who tells everyone to have a good day outside of Trader Joe’s on 14th lately? He’s always there, and the crate he sits on is still there, but I haven’t seen him in a few weeks (though i usually go by at 8am). Hoping he’s okay.”

“Dear PoPville,

I was recently back home cleaning out my childhood bedroom and I happened across some old sports memorabilia including baseballs and baseball cards signed by Hank Aaron and Pete Rose. Are there any legit stores/individuals in the area that appraise, buy, sell, auction these type of items? I appreciate any recommendations!”

The area under the shed seems to serve as a very hospitable rat burrow, as just walking by it at night I’ll see several rats scurrying from residential trash cans back under it. The compost also seems to attract the rats, as I’ve seen them trying to get in and out of it, especially in the winter when it’s a source of heat.

I tried contacting 311 about the rodent problem, (more…)
