“Dear PoPville,

TL;DR Any recommendations for who to contact about someone taking out the trash from around 6 to 6:30 am?

And the “too long” part:

I live in Mt Pleasant (Ward 1) in an apartment building that backs up to a private parking lot for row houses. “Dear PoPville,

Acknowledging you’re a DC- focused entity, BUT I wanted to email a little plea to our local neighbors to consider fostering animals from Prince George’s County. Currently, the county still has a breed ban which means that any dog labeled pit bull can only be adopted or fostered by residents outside the county. Currently pittie advocacy group End PG BSL is hard at work to end the breed ban and improve shelter conditions, and we are hoping for the best for our loyal companions. But until then, like so many shelters, the county shelter is suffering from overcrowding, and is therefore euthanizing all owner-surrenders on intake, and has taken actions such as euthanizing all sick dogs before local partner rescues were able to pull any out. Every other day rescues are getting lists of dogs on the urgent list which are only being given 24-48 hours to find a new home. Read More

“Not sure if you can help but my daughter drove her/our car down to DC 3/8 for the Awesomecon. She came earlier in the day and parked in a garage around 330pm. She parked on floor B4, gave the attendent 20 dollars because even though it was $19 they didn’t have change. They told her remember B4 and that they closed at 7. They gave her directions and never gave her a slip with the garage on it. Read More
