A car has been parked more than two feet from the curb, blocking our narrow street, for a week and a half. Neighbors have made multiple 311 requests. We have also reached out to
Councilmember Lewis George’s office, directly to DPW, and our ANCs (one of whom is trying to assist us). Parking enforcement ticketed the car last week, leaving a $50 ticket indicating that a tow was requested. But it’s still there.
Cars can get past but trash trucks, ambulances, fire trucks, and delivery trucks cannot. This weekend I watched a UPS driver park a half block away and drag the packages up the street. Last week the trash trucks couldn’t get up the street.
How do we get the city to do something?”
