“Dear PoPville,
I found a parking ticket blowing in the wind this morning. Did a quick lap around the block and couldn’t find the car on the ticket. Assuming they didn’t intentionally throw it away, what’s the best way to help this person not get doubled on a ticket they didn’t know about?“

“Dear PoPville,
Dog People in Logan/DuPont circles: WHY are you picking up after your dogs and then leaving the bags on the sidewalk? WHAT is wrong with you?”

“Dear PoPville,
Wanted to shout out Ko Japanese dining. You wrote on them when they opened. Attentive service and really great food – maybe the best home style Japanese cooking in the city. Owner was super sweet.”
Check out their menu here.

“Dear PoPVille,
Please help us figure out what is happening on 30th St NW between Ordway and Porter. This small, quiet street has been the victim of months of on again / off again construction and parking restrictions, mostly from Washington Gas. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
A developer bought the house next door to us in Petworth in April 2023 and started demolition. Fast forward 16 months, and the house is more of a nightmare than ever before. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
Alert: dog kicker in Adams Morgan. This happened to my dog today (Friday) and two other people have messaged saying it’s happened to them on the last two years in the area. We are not sure if it’s the same guy or just lots of shitty people. Also if you could do a shoutout to the store where the guy who came to help me works… I’d really appreciate it. About half dozens guys either passed or just stood there as this guy screamed and poked at me after kicking my dog. The guy from the shop sprinted across the street and stood in between us. The assailant immediately turned tail and left as soon as another man showed up.” (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
Chase Bank in Cleveland Park has a sign on the front door indicating restricted hours for access to the ATM vestibule – mostly to coincide with bank hours. They are closed Sunday and at night. The vestibule is separated from the rest of the bank by a metal grate. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
I’ve got one for your “weird restaurant charges” series.. last night at Perry’s I was charged 3 bucks for the salt on my margarita”

“Dear PoPville,
I am listing my DC property for sale at the end of August. I am wondering how DC area realtors have generally responded to the recent ruling involving the National Association of Realtors and commission structures. I think something goes into effect on 8/17 so maybe things haven’t really changed yet but I’m wondering if anyone has seen anything noteworthy in conjunction with the ruling. “
