“Dear PoPville,

At around 3:45AM this morning, a man entered my house on the 4700 block of Colorado Ave NW while my wife and I were home and took her purse off the kitchen counter. He came in through our patio door in back, which was not locked at the time.

By coincidence I happened to be awake and heard the door open, so I immediately ran after him but was too far behind to catch him. He ran down the alley, got onto a bike, and rode away. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

It’s going to be in the 90s this weekend! What are some water/nature activities in a couple hours driving distance??”

Sadly DC pools don’t open until Memorial Day weekend but D-G asks DC DPR: “any chance you all can turn on splash pads this weekend at least?”

Will update if they are able to turn them on early.

Are these people official or do they just have hivis vests and a bucket of food? (Bonus dog content)”

I know the duck ramps are legit but this is the first time I’ve heard about feeders. Anyone know if it’s part of the parks service?

“Dear PoPville,

Just received a first notice by mail on 5/17/22 for a parking violation issued on 9/1/14 from Montgomery County. The notice is dated 5/5/22. They had the gall to then add a $50 penalty for late payment bringing the ticket to $110. AND in order to contest the ticket I need to post the amount due as collateral. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

Does anyone know what’s going on with the Bloomingdale Farmer’s Market? I haven’t seen any word if they opened as they typically do in May”

The markets & more page still has only 2021 listed and their social media for Bloomingdale hasn’t been updated either. Anyone know what’s up?

Update: OP says they now hear opening should be this Sunday!
