“The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Freeze Watch for the District of Columbia, which will be in effect from 2AM-9AM, Saturday, November 2, 2019.

– Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 degrees are possible.

– Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. (more…)

“National Weather Service reports an upgrade to the Heat Advisory to an Excessive Heat Warning, which is in effect from 11AM- 9PM. The Heat Advisory is no longer in effect.

Heat Index Values: Near 110 degrees today, then potentially 110 to 115 degrees Saturday and Sunday due to temperatures in the upper 90s to around 100 degrees and dewpoints in the lower to middle 70s.

Impacts: Dangerously high temperatures and humidity could quickly cause heat stress or heat stroke if precautions are not taken.
