From an email:

“Over the past three years, Whiskey Ginger has sought to bring great style to the U Street Corridor. Along the way, we’ve met a group of amazing customers, many of which are now considered dear friends. Unfortunately, the lease for the U Street location is about to end, and after a great deal of thought and careful consideration, we’ve made the emotional decision to close the shop as of April 22, 2018. The good news is, there’s still time to come see us! And, even after the U Street location closes, we will continue to serve our customers online through eCommerce channels.

As a way of saying THANK YOU for a great three years, we’re offering our loyal fans:

50% OFF
All Remaining Inventory

So please come and say hello before we close our doors! Quantities and sizes may be limited, but we have lots of great style we still want to share with you!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. While we bid a remorseful temporary adieu, we’re excited for the future and the next chapter. We promise to share it with you as it unfolds.”

Thanks to Liz for sending:

“Walked by the 7/11 on Columbia Rd and noticed this. I wondered if it’s actually closed for remodeling or “closed for remodeling.” It could certainly use a refresh so this may be legit but thought I’d point it out. Taxi drivers will revolt if this 7/11 closes!”

“Dear PoPville,

Last summer you highlighted the opening of Bluebell Spa at 14th and Spring. I finally went – and it’s amazing. One of the best massages I’ve had in years and completely adorable and cozy inside. TuSuva fans will find the experience very comparable. They now offer massage, facial and skincare, and waxing. Appointments are easy to make online. Highly recommended!!!”
