“Dear PoPville,

With the holidays fast approaching, I am looking for local DC stores that sell unique, quirky gifts for white elephants, stocking stuffers and the like. From Crossroads:

“Located in the lively U Street Corridor, Crossroads’ DC location buys, sells and trades clothing every day, stocking the racks with fashionable finds from favorite retailers and designers. Whatever you’re looking for, they’re sure to have something that will send you home happy.

PLEASE NOTE: This Crossroads location will be closed permanently after December 14th.” (more…)

Thanks to Jake for sending. Back in May we learned:

“The ANC 6E agenda notes that a new 7-11 wants to have an unenclosed sidewalk cafe — coming to the southwest corner of 5th and K. I think that’s two storefronts down from Capital City Wine on the corner, which recently closed.”

Stay tuned for an opening date.
