Looks Like the end is nigh for Forever 21 Downtown

1025 F Street, NW

Forever 21 opened up here with much fanfare back in 2010. CNBC reported yesterday:

“Apparel retailer Forever 21 is considering filing for bankruptcy as efforts to restructure its debt run dry, a person familiar with the situation told CNBC.” Thanks to a reader for the sending me the listing above:

“Looks like Forever 21 is closing their Metro Center location, leaving the only store D.C. in Georgetown.”

This flagship opportunity boasts 75,000 SF of total retail space in an unparalleled location for large format retail. The site is on top of Metro Center, with four lines out of the system’s six, providing direct access to the greater DC MSA. Metro Center has an average of 23,256 weekly riders. It is also a hub for the 25 million annual tourists and people from throughout the DC metro area who attend events at Capital One Arena.
