Finally word on what’s happening at the former Heritage India (Cafe Mirasol, and previously Cafe Luna and Skewers spaces) on P Street. Some details from the owner:
“NAZCA MOCHICA it’s our new peruvian concept, we are gonna have a cebiche bar, tapas bar, Pisco bar and a beautiful open kitchen.”
Could be awesome – stay tuned for updates as they get closer to opening!

Getting closer to fast casual Chinese in Shaw! Thanks to all who emailed about Chao Ku’s new signage. This is the former home to Vegetate, Cafe Eagle, Taqueria Mexicana, Eagle (again), Northern Restaurant and Secret Lounge and Sports Bar.

This is the former Hans Pedr Kaffe/Locolat space that closed back in January. A new liquor license placard for Red, White and Basil says:
“A restaurant serving freshly-made pasta as well as beer and wine. Entertainment may include background music and occasional DJ. Total number of seats: 17. Total Occupancy Load: 18. Total number of Sidewalk Cafe seats: 20.”
Updates as they get closer to opening.
