Back in January we noted that Friendship Macaron Cafe had transformed into Taste of Seoul on 18th Street (the old Meskerem space.) Unfortunately it doesn’t look like they’ll make it through Covid-19.

“Starting today, the business side of Laurel Avenue, Takoma Park will be closed to vehicular traffic in order to create the Takoma Streetery – an area for visitors and businesses to spread out to allow for social distancing.
This repurposed public space will offer a community patio, restaurant dining areas, outdoor retail spots and a pedestrian walkway. For additional information on this initiative, read more here.

“I walked past Bun DC this morning and noticed that a “for sale” sign has been added to the building. The restaurant was a welcome addition to Park View and I’ll be very sad to see it closed.”
