“Dear PoPville,
Have you heard anything about Sakerum on 14th closing permanently? Their phone number and website no longer seem to exist, and I don’t think they’ve been open in any capacity since this all started. I certainly hope they aren’t gone for good.”
In April another reader sent:
“A group of people have been bringing tables and chairs and other items out of SakeRum for the last 30 minutes and loading them into a truck. Maybe the restaurant just has a lot of excess furniture they are using this hiatus to clear out, or perhaps a more ominous sign? Obviously I hope for the former.”
Updates as more is known but not looking good.
