“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a shooting that killed a teenager in Northwest, D.C.

On November 3, 2023, at approximately 11:37 p.m., Third District officers responded to the corner of 14th Street and Fairmont Street, Northwest, for the report of sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile male with gunshot wound injuries. He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

“Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Metropolitan Police Department announced a pilot program to provide District drivers in selected police service areas (PSAs) with free digital tracking tags for their vehicles. Installing tracking tags in vehicles will assist MPD in combatting crime by assisting in locating and recovering stolen vehicles and holding those responsible accountable. (more…)

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Crash Investigations Unit are investigating a traffic fatality that killed a teen in Northeast, DC.

The preliminary investigation revealed that on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at approximately 1:47 a.m., a teenaged girl was driving a Honda Pilot at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate the traffic circle at Brentwood Road and Bryant Street, Northeast. (more…)

On Florida Ave NW between 11th and 13th, there’s a stretch of parking where cars always get broken into. On any given day, there’s 5 broken car windows on the sidewalk. Today seemed like double that. Take a look at this video. Hard to comprehend how the police have done absolutely nothing for years to address this. One of those camera poles would probably have a significant impact.”
