“The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a stolen dog and identifying a robbery suspect.

On Saturday, June 29, 2024, at approximately 8:20 p.m., the victim was walking her French Bulldog in the 1700 block of Fort Davis Street, Southeast, when the suspect approached the victim with a gun. The suspect took the dog and fled the scene in a vehicle.

The suspect and vehicle were captured by surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos below along with the photo of the stolen French Bulldog. The dog is a 2-year-old, male French bulldog named “Yurman”. (more…)

Thought I’d throw this out there. I just received a call from a DC number (202) from a gentlemen claiming to be a DC police officer Andrew L., badge # saying I missed jury duty. Interestingly enough, I was summoned for jury duty in april, then postponed to May, then was told I did not have to report on the date of my service once I registered the night before (followed all protocol). “The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a man for stealing over $3800 of merchandise from Northwest CVS locations, mostly consisting of Red Bull.

On Monday, June 10, 2024, officers located and arrested 58-year-old Darryl Lamond Quander, of no fixed address, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant. He is charged with 19 counts of Second-Degree Theft for the below retail thefts from various CVS stores across the District: (more…)

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Crash Investigations Unit are investigating a traffic crash that resulted in the death of a pedestrian.

The preliminary investigation determined that on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at approximately 8:05 a.m., a vehicle was waiting at a red light on Q Street, Northwest, at Foxhall Road. (more…)
