“One of my friends is giving statement after witnessing 4 shots fired on 11th near El Chucho. Unsure if suspects in custody or if injuries.”

“We were driving up 11th towards Park (over by Red Rocks) about 7:30, and heard what we thought were several gunshots and saw a couple of people running.”

“Shooting: 1500 A St SE. S1-B/M, long dreds, blu jns, 6′. S2-B/M, 20-30 YOA, 5’10”-6′, MD build, black hat. L/S fleeing in a dark grn sedan.”

An the Hill East Listserv a neighbor reported:

“There was a shooting in the middle of the day today on the corner of 15 and A Street SE. I was 20 feet away at the Center City Charter playground with my kids and I am sick that this happened.”

Update from MPD around 3pm:

“MPD is on the scene of a confirmed Shooting in the 1500 block of A Street, SE.No look out”

Full update from MPD:

“This afternoon [Saturday], at approximately 1:30pm, officers of the First District responded to the 1500 block of A Street SE for the sounds of gunshots. The officers located a victim who was suffering from a single gunshot wound to the rear of the left leg. The suspect in the case was described as a black male, 20-30 years old, approximately 6 feet tall and medium build, wearing dark jeans and a black hat. A dark gray 4-door Volkswagen was also observed leaving the area.

At approximately 3:30pm, another call for sounds of gunshots came from the 1500 block of A Street SE. First District officers responded and contacted an individual who had a minor gunshot wound to the forearm. There was no lookout information provided for the suspect in the second incident. (more…)

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District have announced an arrest in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Other) offense that occurred in the 2300 block of 18th Street, Northwest, on Sunday, November 13, 2016, at approximately 1:15 am.

During a verbal altercation, inside of an establishment, a victim was assaulted and hit over the head with a glass bottle.

On Sunday, November 13, 2016, 28-year-old Jessica Trejo, of Woodbridge, VA, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Other). Also arrested was 37-year-old Tamika Hayes, of Southwest, DC, and charged with Simple Assault. CCN: 16-193-269.”

“On Monday, November. 14, 2016 at approximately 9:30 pm Fifth District Officers responded to the 2300 Woodridge St NE in reference to a shooting. Officers arrived on the scene and located a victim. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. A suspect in the shooting was taken into custody for questioning. The shooting was found to be domestic in nature and no continuous danger to the community.”

“Earlier this evening, the Third District responded to the area of the 2100 block of 13th street NW in reference to a call for a shooting. Units located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Third District detectives are investigating this incident and ask that anyone with information to call 202-727-9099.”

From MPD around 10pm Friday night:

“Members of the Third District are currently investigating a call for the sound of gunshots in the area of the 600 block of O St., NW. Units have located expended shell casings in the area, however no victims have been located. Traffic in this area may be affected by this investigation. If anyone has any information regarding this incident it is asked that you please call 202-727-9099.”

“Today at approximately 2:45 AM, MPD Officers in the Chinatown area heard several gunshots. An adult male victim was then found shot in the 600 block of H Street, NW. The Victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. This case is being actively investigated by members of the First District Detectives Unit. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Metropolitan Police Department at 202-727-9099.
