“The Third District is currently investigating a shooting in the 1400 block of Irving Street NW. An adult male has been transported to an area hospital with a non life threatening gunshot wound to the hand.

Motorists and pedestrians can expect road closures in the area as we investigate.

Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099.”

Three adult victims were located suffering from gunshot wounds. This case is being investigated by Violent Crime Branch. “On Saturday, November 7, 2020 at approximately 1pm, in the 3300 block of Georgia Ave, NW, a black male in his 40s, on a red bicycle shot at and struck an adult male. The victim was treated at a local area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The suspect fled on his bike in an unknown direction.

This case is under investigation by the Fourth District Detectives Office. Any information please contact 202-727-9099.”

Officers patrolling the area heard the sounds of gunshots and located a vehicle that had been shot up at 2nd/Bryant Streets NW. MPD reported at 3:23am: “SHOOTING/3300 block OF WATER ST NW/NO LOOKOUT/5269″

Update from MPD: “Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Saturday, November 7, 2020, in the 3300 block of Water Street, Northwest.

At approximately 2:56 am, members of the Second District responded to the listed location for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, members located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and determined that the victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The decedent has been identified as 19-year-old Franklin Hernandez Arevalo, of Alexandria, VA. (more…)

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Thursday, November 5, 2020, in the 600 block of Lamont Street, Northwest.

At approximately 4:16 am, members of the Fourth District responded to the listed location for the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, members located an adult male suffering from an apparent stab wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and determined that the victim displayed no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The decedent has been identified as 36 year-old Jamaul Crockett, of no fixed address”

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announce an arrest has been made in a homicide that occurred on Thursday, November 5, 2020, in the 600 block of Lamont Street, Northwest.

On Wednesday, November 11, 2020, 40 year-old Aaron Jackson, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder While Armed. Jackson has numerous prior arrests to include Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Simple Assault, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance, Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Identity Theft, Fugitive from Justice, Failure to Appear, UCSA Distribution Cocaine (Crack), Unlawful Entry, UCSA Distributing Heroin, and UCSA Possession of Marijuana. At the time of the offense, Jackson was under the supervision of the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency for the District of Columbia”

“GEORGETOWN MANHUNT— 3200 blk Water St NW-DC (3200 blk K St NW, et al). A wanted man has fled from the police. He is on foot, possibly armed and hiding in the neighborhood. He is wanted for armed robbery among other charges.”

At approximately 10:35 pm, members of the Fourth District responded to the listed location for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, members located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital where after all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead. (more…)

Multiple readers reported hearing between 8-12 shots around 4:50pm.

MPD reports:

“The Third District is currently investigating a shooting in the area of 14th Street and Fairmont Street NW. An adult male has been transported to an area hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the torso.

Motorists and pedestrians can expect road closures in the area as we investigate.

Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099.”

“2 rounds hit a vehicle, 1 into a ventilation structure and another into the big FEMA sign at 500 C St. SW.”

At least 47 shots were fired last night around 6:50pm outside of FEMA HQ, and not one alert or tweet from MPD. 2 rounds hit a vehicle, 1 into a ventilation structure and another into the big FEMA sign at 500 C St. SW.
