“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday, March 20, 2021, in the unit block of Madison Street, Northeast.

At approximately 7:44 pm, members of the Fourth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located two adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. (more…)

“On March 15, 2021, at approximately 3:46 AM sound of gunfire was reported in the 1400 block of Van Buren Street NW. Officers responded and discovered multiple casings in the area. The incident is being investigated by the Fourth District Detectives.

It takes a special kind of lowlife to vandalize a health clinic that only serves the low income, especially during a pandemic. They’re a safety-net clinic. Mary’s Center in Petworth did a lot of COVID-19 testing during the early part of the shutdown. I hope they can splice together security footage to catch whoever did this.”

At DC Harvest March 3rd “Broken into again. Upstairs kitchen door kicked & frame destroyed. Office trashed again. Cash & many bottles stolen. 3rd breakin in 10 weeks.”

“On 3/11/21, 1D officers and detectives made an arrest closing out four recent burglary cases in the H Street NE corridor. The adult male suspect has been charged with Burglary (2nd Degree) related to establishments in the 400, 500, 1100 and 1200 blocks of H Street NE from February 25th to March 11th. First District detectives are continuing to investigate these events as well as any links to other crimes in the area. A press release with additional information will be forthcoming once the suspect has been presented in DC Superior Court.”
