“We saw a silver sedan being chased by multiple MPD vehicles. It almost took out multiple cars and pedestrians on 13th, M street and came back out from the alley then headed to Thomas Circle”

“Saw car speeding east on N Street, swung left on 13th going south at former BP station with MPD patrols and copter in pursuit. Pedestrians scattered back to sidewalks.”

Readers reported starting around 10:38pm: “just heard 7-10 gunshots very close proximity to 8th and O St NW. So close they woke our 6 month old.”

“Heard it too from 8th and P…sounded like a car sped away down towards Q after”

“I heard it from 5th and Q. Sounded like at least 10 gunshots to me. Helicopters overhead now.”

Update 5:01pm: “At approximately 2:42 pm, MPD responded to New York Avenue and Florida Avenue NE in reference to a shooting. A 13 year-old juvenile male and 14 year-old juvenile male have been arrested and three firearms have been recovered. This is an active investigation.

MPD announces an additional arrest of a 15 year-old juvenile male has been made in this offense.”

Update 4:27pm: “MPD reports First Street NE between New York Avenue and L Street NE will remain closed until further notice. All other related street closures are now open to traffic.”

“OFF-DUTY OFFICER’S SUV STOLEN DURING HOP-IN, SERVICE GUN INSIDE/ MANHUNT— Thief jumped in while the silver 2018 Equinox sat in Capitol Hill area. He rammed police car at 500 Fl Ave NW. He drove to 1300 V St NW where he abandoned the SUV on foot. GUN IS MISSING.”

“On September 3, 2021 at approximately 12:09 am the Fourth District was working a shooting in the 900 block of Rittenhouse Street NW. Two adults suffered gunshot wounds to their body and were taken to a local hospital. The case is being investigated by the Violent Crime Branch. Also while on the scene the Fourth District members place an individual under arrest for carry a pistol without a license. If you have any information please contact 2027279099″
