Lost Sock Roasters, recently named Washington, DC’s Best Coffee by Food & Wine, will open a new pop-up cafe this fall inside the Phillips Collection. The cafe will be open to the Museum’s guest’s as well as the general public without an entrance fee, open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:30am to 5:00pm. The Phillips Collection is located just off of Dupont Circle at 1600 21st St NW, Washington, DC. The team will soon share a grand opening date targeted for late August – mid September. (more…)

“Clubhouse (1070 Wisconsin Ave NW) will be mixing cocktails, serving fresh coffee and slinging pizza dough in the newly renovated space in Georgetown Park, formerly known as Church Hall. When given the opportunity to re-open, Clubhouse founders Geoff Dawson and Peter Bayne wanted to create an environment that’ll be a gathering spot for everyone in the Georgetown neighborhood.

Clubhouse will open in the mornings for the neighborhood to enjoy a coffee menu curated by Madison Peake, formerly of Tatte Bakery & Cafe Group. Peake has perfected a coffee and breakfast menu including a vanilla bean date latte, breakfast burritos, avocado toast and plenty of croissants to get everyone through their morning Zoom meetings. Clubhouse’s 9,000 square foot space becomes one of the largest work from home spaces in DC.

Unfortunately the plans for a Dangerously Delicious Pies location didn’t work out but there is some good news to report on the space!

From an email: “Zeke’s Coffee has signed a lease for the ground floor at 4602 14th Street NW, it’s third D.C. location, and is planning on opening the doors sometime this fall.”
