Ed. Note: Back in May we learned that Tryst at the Phillips would not be reopening.

From a press release:

Lost Sock Roasters, recently named Washington, DC’s Best Coffee by Food & Wine, will open a new pop-up cafe this fall inside the Phillips Collection. The cafe will be open to the Museum’s guest’s as well as the general public without an entrance fee, open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:30am to 5:00pm. The Phillips Collection is located just off of Dupont Circle at 1600 21st St NW, Washington, DC. The team will soon share a grand opening date targeted for late August – mid September.

Lost Sock’s new cafe at the Phillips will highlight the popular menu items from its busy first outpost, including Argentinian style baked empanadas by Cabrera’s parents’ company, Hungry Moon Foods in Hatboro, PA, as well as new creations by Chef Jordi Harper. In addition to its current drink offerings, including a full espresso bar, iced and hot seasonal drinks, and non-caffeinated options, Lost Sock also plans to offer a curated selection of wines and beers. The cafe at the Phillips will have free wifi and ample seating including a massive patio for guests to enjoy while catching up on some work, socializing with friends, or reflecting on the Museum’s incredible collection.

Owners Nicolas Cabrera and Jeff Yerxa, whose first brick and mortar cafe opened to great community support in 2021 in Takoma, have been sourcing coffees from producing countries and roasting them in Brightwood Park since 2015. In sourcing and roasting, the company focuses on quality, sustainability, and building long term relationships with producers.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
