“Unido, Washington, D.C.’s premier destination for 100% Panamanian-grown coffee, is expanding its footprint inside La Cosecha at Union Market District, taking over the elevated and largest anchor space, and will reopen as an all-day food and beverage destination next week. To celebrate the new location, Unido is hosting a Grand Opening Celebration on Friday, April 17th at 6 pm.

The expanded café and bar space will not only continue to serve its signature coffee drinks, but the team is rolling out a new all-day breakfast menu, plus an enhanced lunch and dinner menu featuring fresh takes on Central, South, and North American flavors. Just in time for spring, Unido will also be serving wine, cocktails, and tapas at night, making it the perfect spot to grab a light bite with friends or coworkers at the bar, a table inside the bustling market, or on the outdoor patio.

14th and Rhode Island Ave, NW previously home to a 7 Eleven

“Dear PoPville,

Do you know what’s finally going in the space on the southwest corner of 14th and Rhode Island Ave across the street from Shake Shack? There are permits on the door and the windows are covered in brown paper. The permit on the door says restaurant and the permit on the window says condos.”

Anyone hear more details of what/who’s coming here?

“This summer, from July 6 through Sept. 6, Metro will conduct major construction on the Red Line, and trains will not operate between North Bethesda and Friendship Heights. Free Local and Express shuttle buses will replace rail service to and from Grosvenor-Strathmore, Medical Center, and Bethesda. (more…)
