Our friend and neighbor, Billy, lost everything in an electrical fire early Sunday morning , and his cat Jules was hospitalized. She later died of her injuries, but the emergency vet bill was very high. We created this go fund me to help him start rebuilding his life.”

“Dear PoPville,
I saw you post a while back about the status of bike lanes around Hanes Point, so I wanted to share that the project has been completed. As advertised, it’s dedicated one lane of space to pedestrian/cycle lanes going both directions and a buffer (without barriers) to the remaining vehicular lane.
On the whole I’d say it’s a step up from before, though certainly not perfect. (more…)

Our van Big Bertha is down with an engine failure. Meanwhile we were using our personal vehicle to work. Unfortunately between August 2nd to August 3rd, someone broke into our personal vehicle and damaged the ignition to the car.
