“Dear PoPville,

We met at the National Book Festival in line to get books signed by Sandra Cisneros. We talked about life and books. I should have asked for your number, but I wasn’t sure what the vibe was!

You: From Central California/Guadalajara but moved to the DMV to go to Georgetown. You live in Arlington and love books!

Me: Black dress, blonde hair, from Ohio and went to grad school in Monterey!”

Ed. Note: If this is you, please email [email protected] so I can put you in touch with OP. PoPville is not affiliated with either party, please proceed with any potential connection at your own risk using caution as you would any online encounter. For those curious about past missed connections, many have been made and when possible I’ll try to update when/if more are made. Last week’s Le Diplomate MC were connected!

“Dear PoPville,

We live on the 700 block of Harvard St NW. Tues, Aug 13th was the last time house hold trash was picked up along the entire block. We spoke with our neighbors on the 700 block of Hobart Pl NW and they have also missed 3 pickups. DPW is not responding to tickets or issuing any word as to what is going on.

Is it possible to assess how wide of an issue this is and get DPW’s attention. I cant imagine that they skipped only these 2 blocks 3 times in a row.”
