A 20% service charge at a restaurant is not uncommon these days, but this from Etto was a new one for me. If you’re going to add a 20% fee and then encourage tipping on top of that, maybe you should just raise your prices? It feels misleading to advertise a price on the menu and then ask the customer to add 30-40% more once the bill comes.“
