“Shooting_2359 hrs_1300 Columbia Road NW_LOF: 2 B/M’s wearing all black”

Update from MPD:

“Around midnight tonight, 3D footbeat officers heard the sound of gunshots in the 1300 block of Columbia Road, N.W. Shortly thereafter, the officers located two male victims. One victim was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries and the second victim was transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099.”

Update from MPD:

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating the fatal shooting which occurred in the 1300 block of Columbia Road, NW.

On August 31, 2013 at approximately 11:59 pm, officers from the Third District responded to the 1300 block of Columbia Road, NW for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and a juvenile male suffering from a gunshot wound. Both were transported to a local hospital by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel where the adult victim was pronounced and the juvenile victim was admitted in stable condition.

The decedent is identified as 23 year-old Antonio Jerome Williams of Northwest, Washington, DC.”

“Shooting_0300 hrs_600 Morton Street NW_No lookout”

Update from MPD:

“This morning at approximately 3:00 Am, 3D units were dispatched to the 600 block of Morton Street, N.W., for a shooting victim. Shortly thereafter, 3D units located a male victim suffering from a non life-threatening gunshot wound in the 600 block of Morton Street, N.W. The individual was transported to a local area hospital for treatment.

Third District Detectives are currently investigating the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
