“TOI MOI Bakery and Qualia Coffee Popping Up at Eckington Hall on Sundays in January”

1611 Eckington Place, NE

From an email:

Toi Moi Bakery and Qualia Coffee will be popping up at Eckington Hall every Sunday this month from 9am – 1pm.

Toi Moi, owned by Shurou Pu, is a VA-based bakery that weaves in Asian-flavored elements like ube, mochi and matcha with croissants and other pastries.  Here are some menu highlights:

Passion Fruit Mango Mochi Croissant – a croissant filled with mango Passion Fruit cream topped with mango mochi

Savory Danish (Miso Bacon) – croissant dough rolled up with miso paste, bacon pieces and scallions

Pistachio Rose Almond Croissant – double-baked croissant with almond cream flavored with rose water and topped with crushed pistachio

Shorou (who goes by Annie) wanted to have coffee available so she reached out to Joel Finklestein who owns Qualia Coffee, which is right around the corner from Eckington Hall over on Eckington Place. He’ll be popping up with his mobile coffee brewing station.”

We’re about a month out from summer. That means you’ve still got time for spring cleaning!

Lexi Grant, an operations manager at Well-Paid Maids, shared her go-to spring cleaning tips with WTOP News. Step one? Declutter. Get rid of items you don’t use, find space for items that need a home and organize those areas.

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
