“DC Vegan Taps Former Executive Chef of Fancy Radish David Aaron Gravenmier”

1633 P Street, NW

From a press release:

“Alaskan born, New Jersey and Philly bred Chef, David Aaron Gravenmier has signed on as the new Executive Chef at DC Vegan, effective immediately.

Chef David brings over 10 years of vegan restaurant experience as the former Sous Chef at Philadelphia’s wildly popular Vedge restaurant and Executive Chef at DC based vegan fan favorite, Fancy Radish.

Chef David will be expanding on DC Vegan’s Italian-American ‘vegetable-forward’ menu offerings as well as rolling out a special NYE prix fixe menu featuring inventive dishes like Carrot Osso Bucco and House-made Gnocchi.

“We are thrilled to be collaborating with such an expert in the plant-based space,” said Leah Curran Moon, Co-Owner and CEO DC Vegan. “David brings creativity and culinary excellence to the table here at DC Vegan. In addition to expanding on DC Vegan’s current menu offerings, David will continue to elevate the Botanical Bar with new surprises for 2024,” added co-founder Michael Moon.

“I have been working in the restaurant business for close to 20 years, and started dabbling in vegan food back in 2009,” said Chef David Gravenmier. “I love creating vegetable-centric dishes for even the most skeptical omnivores. My goal is to bring some of the Fancy Radish fine-dining experience to DC Vegan’s Botanical Bar and am excited to see what the future brings.”

Finding a gift for moms can be difficult. Google “Mother’s Day gifts,” and you’ll scroll through endless lists of beauty products, candles and fuzzy robes. Sure, those are sweet, but sometimes it’s fun to surprise loved ones with something a little more, well, practical!

Here’s one idea: Give her a gift certificate for a home cleaning from Well-Paid Maids. It’s the perfect “thank you,” “I love you” or “you’ve got this” for any mom. She can schedule the home cleaning at her convenience and breathe easy knowing she has one less thing to do.

Our cleaners will take care of everything, including vacuuming and mopping as well as cleaning and dusting countertops, tables, mirrors, appliances and more. Sinks, toilets, showers and appliance exteriors also get a good scrub.
