“a new Italian-American dinner menu” at DC Vegan

From a press release:

“DC Vegan, Washington’s premier plant-based Botanical Bar, Delicatessen, Vegan Cheese Shop and beloved Full-Service Caterer, is celebrating the New Year by rolling out a new Italian-American dinner menu (with full dinner service) to meet the growing demand for dining-in customers. The new menu is available after 4pm in the Botanical Bar, with its romantic and nature-inspired decor, one-of-a-kind botanical-themed cocktails, Zero Proof cocktails, local craft beer and vegan wines – and also in the deli.

“We are so excited about offering an Italian-American vegan menu complete with pastas like Bucatini & Meatballs, Gnocchi Beans & Greens, Cacio E Pepe and Classic Lasagna,” said Michael Moon, Co-Owner for DC Vegan. “When it comes to the entrees, we’ve got Italian family favorites like Eggplant Rollatini, Wild Mushroom Ragout and Chianti Braised Jackfruit. And we are psyched about being able to eat the food too, because DC doesn’t have anything like this!”

This comes after the successful launch of DC Vegan’s Cheese Shop which is located in the deli on the second floor of the Dupont Circle-area restaurant and now offers more than 20 various artisanal vegan cheeses, fig “salami,” and even vegan caviar. From Sun Dried Tomato & Herb Fromage by Rebel Cheese to Truffle Hound by Reine Cuisine and creamy Mozz Wedges and Maverick “Brie”by Bandit, The Cheese Shop offers an array of small batch cheeses (and other vegan goodies) from across the country.

“The reaction to The Cheese Shop has been amazing,” says co-owner and CEO Leah Curran Moon. “The demand has been so high, that we are having a hard time keeping them on the shelf! We are so honored to be able to offer the DMV amazing cheeses with such beautiful flavors and textures.”

Finding a gift for moms can be difficult. Google “Mother’s Day gifts,” and you’ll scroll through endless lists of beauty products, candles and fuzzy robes. Sure, those are sweet, but sometimes it’s fun to surprise loved ones with something a little more, well, practical!

Here’s one idea: Give her a gift certificate for a home cleaning from Well-Paid Maids. It’s the perfect “thank you,” “I love you” or “you’ve got this” for any mom. She can schedule the home cleaning at her convenience and breathe easy knowing she has one less thing to do.

Our cleaners will take care of everything, including vacuuming and mopping as well as cleaning and dusting countertops, tables, mirrors, appliances and more. Sinks, toilets, showers and appliance exteriors also get a good scrub.
